Durga Prasai Released from Custody Following Court Order
Durga Prasai has been released from police custody after the Parsa District Court ordered his release on ordinary recognizance. Confirming the development, Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Basnet said Prasai was freed in accordance with the court’s directive. Police had earlier registered cases against Prasai on charges related to cybercrime and offenses against the state. He had been arrested a few days ago from Hotel Dialo in Birgunj. The release comes amid continued public and political attention surrounding the allegations filed against the controversial entrepreneur.
