NA Meeting Today; Ministers to Answer Lawmakers’ Queries
The National Assembly (NA) will meet at 1:15 pm today, with Home Minister Sudan Gurung and Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security Sita Badi scheduled to answer lawmakers’ questions related to their respective ministries.
NA member Kamala Panta will draw the Home Minister’s attention to the government’s preparedness for monsoon-induced disasters. Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Gita Chaudhary is also expected to table the Infectious Animal Diseases (Control) Bill, 2026.
Meanwhile, five parliamentary committees—including the Finance, Women and Social Affairs, State Affairs and Good Governance, Education, Health and Information Technology, and Monitoring and Evaluation Committees—are scheduled to hold meetings later today.
