Congress asked Khadka for clarification
The Nepali Congress has asked former party vice-chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka for an explanation within seven days. The central disciplinary committee, in its meeting held on Wednesday, requested the former vice-chairman Khadka for a seven-day clarification.
The disciplinary committee stated that Khadka had created and used a fake letterhead of Congress, mentioning responsibilities that did not belong to him and issuing an unauthorized statement on Chaitra 14, 2082 (Nepali calendar), claiming he was responsible for party duties.
The party had previously warned against the misuse of the letterhead. Since Khadka’s unauthorized issuance of a press release on Chaitra 30, 2082, was seen as contrary to the party’s constitution, the Nepali Congress, as per Article 34, Sub-Section 8 (g) of the party’s constitution 2017 (with amendments), has asked for a seven-day explanation, Secretary Thapamagar informed through a press release.
