Cabinet reshuffle in Gandaki
The cabinet has been reshuffled in Gandaki Province. All ministers of the provincial government have been changed. The coalition parties, Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, have removed all their old ministers and sent a new team. On the recommendation of Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey, the Provincial Head, Dilliraj Bhatt, has appointed the new ministers. The newly appointed ministers took the oath of office and secrecy from Provincial Head Bhatt on Wednesday. This new appointment came after an agreement was reached between Chief Minister and Congress Parliamentary Party leader Surendra Raj Pandey and UML Parliamentary Party leader Khagaraj Adhikari to reorganize the cabinet. Among the newly appointed ministers, four have been given responsibilities by the Nepali Congress. Jit Bahadur Sherchan was assigned the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Nanda Prasad Nyaupane was entrusted with the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Drinking Water.
Similarly, Rekha Gurung has been appointed to handle the Ministry of Social Development, Youth and Sports, and Namdu Gurung to the Ministry of Forests and Environment, and from that, four ministers from the CPN-UML have also participated in the government. Govinda Bahadur Nepali has been given responsibility for the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport, and Yashoda Rimal for the Ministry of Industry and Tourism. In addition, Bhim Bahadur Karki has taken charge of the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, and Laxman Bahadur Pandey has taken charge of the Ministry of Health.
