Commitment to agriculture shown by Ward Chairman Moktan

Nara Bahadur Moktan, ward chair of Urlabari Municipality-9, actively participates in farming in addition to his public duties, whereas many people tend to abandon agriculture after obtaining a political position. Although Moktan is in charge of ward affairs, he is frequently spotted working in the fields after hours. He manages the Rajghat Agricultural Production Centre, which employs 14 people and produces 250–300 kilograms of mushrooms every day and encourages the locals to pursue careers in agriculture. Through the use of drum seeders and cutting-edge transplanting and harvesting technology, Moktan has mechanized the cultivation of maize and paddy, making it more accessible to local farmers in spite of labor shortages.
Moktan was heavily involved in agriculture even before he was elected, and since then, his involvement has increased. According to Moktan, he has always set an example. Other farmers may follow suit if he gives up farming now. He prioritized it after I finished my public duties because of this. In addition, Moktan is the president of the Morang Nepali Congress. His efforts are acknowledged even by opposition party leaders. According to locals, Moktan was already well-known before he was elected, and his relationship with the community has only gotten stronger since then. Moktan, who worked overseas for years, uses his foreign-learned skills in agriculture.
