11 tourists, 2 crew members killed in Peru plane crash
A tragic aviation accident occurred near the city of Nazca in Peru, claiming the lives of all 13 people on board. The victims included 11 foreign tourists and two crew members. The crashed aircraft, a Cessna Grand Caravan operated by private airline Aerodiana, had taken off from the city of Ica to take passengers on a sightseeing tour of the famous Nazca Lines.
According to the reports, the deceased tourists comprised seven Italians, two Germans, and two Spanish nationals. Eyewitnesses reported that the aircraft suddenly plummeted into a field and burst into flames upon impact. Emergency response teams arrived at the crash site shortly after to extinguish the fire and recover the bodies from the wreckage.
The cause of the crash remains unknown, and Peruvian aviation authorities have launched a formal investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the incident. Aerodiana has not yet issued an official statement regarding the tragic crash, while Peru’s Ministry of Commerce and Tourism expressed deep condolences and directed authorities to expedite the inquiry.
