Thapa Calls for Unity and Generational Change in Nepali Congress

Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has called for a party that preserves its traditional values while responding to the younger generation’s demand for faster development and change.

Addressing party members, Thapa said the Congress must be prepared to take responsibility, manage risks and lead national transformation. He also highlighted the entry of thousands of young leaders, including women, Dalits, Janajatis and professionals, through ward-level organizational roles.

Thapa described the General Convention as an opportunity to heal internal divisions and urged members to set aside factional differences during the ward-level elections. He called for unity and consensus as the party prepares to move toward municipal and central-level organizational elections.
