School building is being constructed with the assistance of the Government of India
The foundation stone has been laid for the construction of a new school and library building of Shri Benga Sah Secondary School located in Prasauni Rural Municipality-2, Bara District. The foundation stone was jointly laid by India’s Ambassador for Commerce, Devi Sahay Meena, and the Chairman of the Rural Municipality, Binod Prasad Jaiswal. The project, which is to be constructed with about 33.2 million Nepalese Rupees in financial assistance from the Government of India, will be operated under the ‘High Impact Community Development Project’. It has been reported that the project will be implemented through Prasauni Rural Municipality. The building under construction will include modern classrooms along with facilities such as a library, computer lab, science lab, canteen, and kitchen.
There is a plan to construct educational structures of two to three floors. In the program, the rural municipality chairperson, school management committee, and local stakeholders expressed gratitude for the support from the Government of India and conveyed their belief that the new building will provide students with a safe and conducive educational environment. Highlighting that there has been multifaceted cooperation between Nepal and India as neighboring countries, it was expressed that such projects will further strengthen Nepal’s development efforts.
