RPP Seeks Removal of Three Ministers from Provincial Assembly
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has asked the Election Commission and Bagmati Provincial Assembly Secretariat to remove Ministers Raju Bista, Rajendra Prajapati and Gir Bahadur Tamang from their Assembly seats.
The party initiated expulsion proceedings under the Political Parties Act, accusing the three lawmakers of violating party policy by joining the provincial cabinet and failing to respond to 12-hour show-cause notices.
The move follows disciplinary action against Parliamentary Party Leader Uddhav Thapa over his role in facilitating the coalition. The proposed expulsion could lead to the three Assembly seats being declared vacant, potentially affecting the stability of Chief Minister Kiran Thapa’s government ahead of his confidence vote.
