MP Sherpa will climb Mount Everest

Member of the House of Representatives Mingma David Sherpa is going to climb Mount Everest. He is going to hoist the flag bearing the logo of Nepal’s Parliament on Everest. From Rastriya Swatantra Party, proportional representative MP Sherpa reached the Everest Base Camp on Wednesday to climb Everest. With the flag bearing the Parliament logo, Sherpa will become the first incumbent MP to reach the highest peak of Everest. In 2021, he made history by successfully performing the first winter season climb of Mount Ketu, considered one of the most dangerous mountains in the world, with a team of 10 Nepali climbers. He has climbed Everest and Manaslu nine times each, Ketu six times, and other 8,000-meter peaks once each, setting the record for climbing all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks at the youngest age. Moreover, he has achieved back-to-back world records by climbing Everest and Ketu within 61 days, and completing the fastest Ketu climb (from base camp to summit in 14 hours and 22 minutes).
