In ten months, Banke National Park receives around 700 visitors
Banke National Park, the youngest national park dedicated to the conservation of the Bengal tiger and a vital biological corridor, is experiencing a steady increase in visitors. The Bengal Tiger Park has seen a significant increase in visitors, with over 700 tourists visiting since July/August 2024/25. This positive trend is attributed to the park’s core protected area, where the number of visitors remains around 700. He said that community homestays operating in the buffer zone were responsible for all visitors entering the main region.
Encouragement of homestay and hotel businesses to draw more visitors from the buffer zone into the park’s central area has been given particular attention by the park. The number of tourists entering the area may rise dramatically if the local hotels and homestays could set up enough safari vehicles for touring, Kandel continued. Krishnalal Chaudhary, the chairwoman of the Gavar Valley Community Homestay in the buffer zone, stated that while the number of tourists visiting to observe animals and natural beauty is steadily rising, the situation is still unsatisfactory.
