Both Houses Of Federal Parliament To Meet Today
Both houses of Nepal’s Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today, with several legislative matters on the agenda.
The House of Representatives will meet at 1pm at Singha Durbar. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is scheduled to inform the House about a letter from the President’s Office concerning the authentication of a bill. Minister Sita Badi will also propose sending the Children (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, to the concerned committee for clause-wise discussion.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sobita Gautam is scheduled to present a proposal seeking passage of the National Service Corps Bill, 2083, on behalf of Prime Minister and Defence Minister Balendra Shah.
The National Assembly will meet at 1:15pm. Agriculture, Forest and Environment Minister Gita Chaudhary is scheduled to answer oral questions related to her ministry and present a proposal seeking passage of the Infectious Animal Disease (Control) Bill, 2083.
