World Champions Karine Joly, Gregory Crozier skydive in Everest region

Agency: The Everest Skydive, an extreme adventure event organized since 2008, has commenced its 17th edition on November 15, 2024. This year’s event saw world-renowned and champion jumpers from across the globe gather in Nepal to participate in this unique skydiving experience.
French daredevils Karine Joly and Gregory Crozier carried the torch as champions for this year’s edition, setting a new record with their highest jump at Baruntse West Col, which stands over 6000 meters high, near Mt Everest. Both Joly and Crozier are World Champions, World Cup winners, and hold nine World Records. This marks Gregory Crozier’s 50th country for skydiving, having made more than 10,000 jumps throughout his career.
The experienced team of Wendy Smith, Paul Henry, Nadia Solovyeva Jean Phillipe, Omar Alhegelan, and Lauren Billet have been part of the event since its inception in 2008. This year’s flights were executed by Everest Skydive’s exclusive partner, Fishtail Air, using their AS350 B3 helicopter flown by Capt. Sujal Shrestha.
The event also saw a high turnout of clients from various countries vying for a place in the history books. Participants included Gustavo Alberto from Argentina, Mahmoud Sharaf and Mostafa Mohamed from Egypt, Theo Reixach and Heideh Dorostkari from France, and Lisin Sviatoslav from Ukraine.
