Nepal PM Balen Shah Reviews Security Ahead of Festivals
Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) on Thursday reviewed the country’s law and order situation and security arrangements ahead of the festive season.
At a meeting held at Singha Durbar, Shah was briefed by Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel, Nepal Police IGP Manoj Kumar KC and Armed Police Force IGP Narayan Dutta Paudel.
The Prime Minister directed all security agencies to strengthen coordination, information sharing and cooperation to improve national security. He also stressed ensuring the safety of citizens and their property, adopting a zero-tolerance policy towards crime and making security arrangements more effective.
