National Assembly To Meet Today
The National Assembly is scheduled to convene today at 1:15 p.m., with Prime Minister Balendra Shah set to present the Madhesi Commission’s Annual Report for the Fiscal Year 2024–2025.
During the sitting, Krishna Prasad Paudel, Chairman of the Development, Economic Affairs, and Good Governance Committee, will also table the Study Report on Drinking Water, Sanitation, and Water Resource Management in Madhes Province, 2083.
Meanwhile, four parliamentary committees are scheduled to hold separate meetings today, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat. The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will meet at 11:00 a.m. to deliberate on the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081.
At the same time, the Women and Social Affairs Committee will convene to discuss issues related to cybersecurity. The Finance Committee is scheduled to meet at 1:00 p.m. to continue its clause-by-clause deliberations on the Bill to Amend the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058.
The Public Account Committee will meet at 2:00 p.m. to discuss matters related to reported audit concerns. The series of parliamentary meetings is expected to focus on key legislative proposals and oversight issues, including financial reforms, cybersecurity, forensic science legislation, and governance.
