Chief Justice Sharma Returns After Four-Day India Visit
Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma returned home on Monday after completing a four-day official visit to India. Chief Justice Sharma had departed for India on July 23 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart, Chief Justice Surya Kant.
According to Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala, Chief Justice Sharma held bilateral discussions with Chief Justice Kant on matters related to judicial cooperation and the exchange of legal and judicial practices between Nepal and India.
During the visit, Chief Justice Sharma also observed proceedings at the Supreme Court of India and gained insights into the country’s judicial system as part of efforts to strengthen institutional ties and promote the sharing of best practices.
His delegation included his spouse, Uma Sharma, and Joint Registrar Amit Upreti. The visit is expected to further enhance judicial collaboration and mutual understanding between the supreme courts of Nepal and India.
