Northern Gorkha’s Nubri Valley experiences snowfall

Again, there has been a lot of snowfall in the northern Gorkha. The local Nima Lama claims that since the start of this year’s winter season, the snowfall that fell on Sunday night has been the heaviest. He claimed that after a protracted period of dryness, the most recent snowfall happened. The snowfall last night was the most intense of the season, although there was some light snowfall two days prior. The northernmost region of North Gorkha, known as the Nubri Valley, has seen snowfall from Samdo Village down to Samagaun and Shyala Village, according to Lama. Since Sunday midnight, there has been a continuous snowfall. The village of Sambdo has about a foot of snow.

Heavy snowfall has impacted the lives of residents in Sama Village, Shyala Village, and Nubri Valley. He claimed that solar-powered phones and the internet are not working properly. Until the snowfall stops, it appears that the service will be interrupted. According to guide Surya Khanal, the snowfall caused problems for both local and foreign visitors who arrived in the area on Saturday night. In the meantime, after years of good crops, the arrival of snow has thrilled the locals.
