Vice President to Deliver President Paudel’s Condolence Letter in Qatar

Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav has departed for a three-day official visit to the State of Qatar from July 14 to 16 to convey the Government of Nepal’s condolences following the demise of Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The visit reflects Nepal’s solidarity with the people and leadership of Qatar during this period of national mourning.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vice President Yadav is scheduled to meet Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, on July 15. During the meeting, he will present a letter of condolence from President Ramchandra Paudel, expressing Nepal’s deepest sympathies and extending heartfelt condolences to the Qatari royal family and its citizens.

The Vice President is accompanied by senior government officials as part of the official delegation. The visit is expected to reaffirm the longstanding friendship and close diplomatic relations between Nepal and Qatar, which have continued to strengthen over the years through cooperation and mutual respect.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the condolence visit underscores Nepal’s commitment to maintaining warm bilateral ties with Qatar, a country that hosts a large Nepali community and remains an important partner for Nepal in employment, trade, and development cooperation. Vice President Yadav is scheduled to conclude his official visit and return to Kathmandu on July 16, following the completion of his official engagements in Qatar.
