Meeting between U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Kapur and Foreign Minister Khanal

Aspl Kapur, the Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, met with Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal. During the meeting, they discussed strengthening Nepal–U.S. bilateral relations. The ministry also stated that discussions were held on expanding cooperation by focusing more on trade and investment. In the bilateral meeting, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lok Bahadur K.C., said that discussions were held on further strengthening the friendly relations between Nepal and the United States and broadening economic relations by increasing cooperation in the areas of trade and investment.
The minister arrived in Nepal on Monday morning for a three-day visit.
