Former senior officials filed a writ claiming unlawful treatment expenses were taken

A write has been filed in the Supreme Court claiming that former high-ranking officials illegally took medical expenses from the state treasury while receiving treatment abroad.
Saroj Nyaupane filed the writ in the Supreme Court on Thursday. In the writ, former President Ram Baran Yadav, former Prime Ministers KP Sharma Oli and Jhalanath Khanal, and former Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala have been made respondents. At a time when there was no procedure for the state to bear the expenses of treatment abroad, they received the treatment costs through a decision of the Council of Ministers. The hearing of the said writ has been scheduled for Friday. Despite conditions allowing treatment within the country, former state officials have previously gone abroad for treatment, and their medical expenses were covered through decisions of the Council of Ministers.
