BlinkNow Wins Global Green Apple Award for Eco-Friendly Community Model
BlinkNow’s Kopila Valley Model in Surkhet, Nepal, has won the 2026 International Green Apple Environment Award for its environmental achievements and community-focused approach. According to the BlinkNow Foundation, the model was selected from more than 700 entries worldwide, recognising its efforts to combine environmental sustainability with education for under-resourced children and economic opportunities for local women. Over nearly two decades, BlinkNow has developed an eco-friendly community model in rural Nepal and has increasingly shared its experience with grassroots organisations and local communities. Its initiatives include an annual leadership summit, practical training for nonprofit leaders, mentorship programmes for public schools and a digital library featuring sustainability and education resources. Organised by The Green Organisation, the Green Apple Awards have recognised environmental excellence internationally since 1994. BlinkNow operates the Kopila Valley Children’s Home and School and supports programmes focused on healthcare, women’s empowerment, career readiness, food and farming, poverty reduction and social justice. The organisation’s eco-friendly Kopila Valley Children’s Village was completed in 2025, further strengthening its efforts to create a sustainable community model that links environmental responsibility with education and social development.
