PM Oli in Beijing with the BRI framework and agreement

PM Oli now has a BRI plan and the support of the ruling parties as he begins a four-day official visit to China. Prime Minister Oli was greeted at Beijing Capital International Airport by the vice minister of foreign affairs. Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet with Prime Minister Oli. He intends to talk about a range of bilateral matters with his Chinese colleague Li. Zhao Leji, the chairman of China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee, is to meet with Prime Minister Oli. The BRI is on the table and would be discussed during the PM’s visit, according to Krishna Prasad Dhakal.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Arzu Rana Deuba reaffirmed that the Nepali Congress had issued a resolution against “taking loans” before the establishment of this administration when he returned from China last week in advance of PM Oli’s visit. There was disagreement among the ruling parties on a document called the “Implementation Plan.”The deputy general secretary of the CPN-UML congratulated Prime Minister Oli and Sher Bahadur Deuba on reaching an agreement on the BRI cooperation framework on Facebook. According to UML leaders, it is too late to put the BRI into effect and they should prioritize grants while taking into account the potential for subsidized loans. It is expecting that on 5th Dec PM will come to home.
