Over 200 sheep perish from an unidentified illness

An unidentified illness claimed the lives of more than 200 sheep in Mulsam, Barekot Rural Municipality-3, Jajarkot. Because sheep are dying from an unidentified sickness one by one, the people are cautious. They lament that without knowing the cause, treatment is impossible. Local veterinarians are treating patients, according to Ram Bahadur Singh, the ward chair of Barekot Rural Municipality-3. He claimed that because of the severe diarrhoea, sheep are rapidly dying one by one. Veterinarians and people’s representatives are currently working to treat sick sheep. However, the bulk of farmers’ sheep have perished, and the mortality rate has not decreased.
The sheep’s swab, blood, and a portion of their stomach have been submitted to a lab for analysis, according to Kapil Upadhaya, chief of the veterinary hospital and livestock service office. Until the report is received, it will be challenging to determine which sickness is killing sheep. There is not enough medication here, according to the on-site veterinarian. The district does not give the case any particular attention. Our efforts alone will not be sufficient to provide treatment. The primary source of income for farmers who depend on agriculture is sheep.
