Holi begins with the building of Chir at Basantapur
The Holi festival officially began on Friday with the installation of Chir in Basantapur. ‘Chir’, a wooden pole, was erected this morning at Hanumandhoka Palace. The Hilly and Terai regions will celebrate the Holi festival on March 13 and 14, respectively.
