Kailali’s crop is destroyed by a hailstorm

Crops have been damaged by the Saturday morning hailstorm that struck Kailali. Rain and thunderstorms have damaged wheat and lentils, among other crops. In the center and eastern parts of the district, farmers have reported a hailstorm and rain. According to Phool Raj Chaudhary, a local farmer from Kailari Rural Municipality-7, the thunderstorm has harmed the wheat and lentils. He claims that although wheat is now being harvested, lentils have begun to be harvested in the fields.

A hailstorm has reportedly struck several parts of the district, including Kailari Rural Municipality, Bhajani Municipality, Tikapur Municipality, and Bardagoriya Rural Municipality. Tikapur Municipality-7’s Bhojraj Dhungana said that the Tikapur region saw a hailstorm for roughly five minutes. He stated that since a rainfall has destroyed the wheat during this time of blossoming, the yield might drop.
