UML Vice-Chair Bishnu Paudel appears in public event following court release
Just a week after walking out of custody on ordinary bail over money laundering charges, CPN (UML) Vice-Chairman Bishnu Prasad Paudel stepped back into the political spotlight on Thursday.
Making his first official public appearance since his release, Paudel attended a lecture program commemorating the 48th Pushpa Lal Memorial Day at Karki Banquet in Babarmahal.
The high-profile leader had been arrested in Surkhet on June 22 as part of an ongoing money laundering probe.
After spending nearly 25 days in police detention, the Special Court granted him release on ordinary bail on July 16, paving the way for his swift return to party engagements.
