Nepal’s Shinta Mani Mustang Crowned World’s No. 1 Luxury Hotel in Prestigious Robb Report 2026 Rankings

Nepal has secured a major international milestone in luxury tourism, as Shinta Mani Mustang was named the world’s top hotel on Robb Report’s prestigious “50 Greatest Luxury Hotels on Earth 2026” list. Evaluated by a panel of 24 global luxury travel experts, the 29-room sanctuary located in the dramatic Kali Gandaki Valley topped the ranking ahead of renowned retreats in Rwanda, Scotland, and Japan. Designed by acclaimed architect Bill Bensley and operated by Sherpa Hospitality Group, the mountain retreat was praised for its striking architecture, panoramic Himalayan views, and deeply immersive experiences—including horseback riding, archery, visits to local Bon Buddhist villages, and wellness treatments by an on-site Amchi Tibetan doctor. Hailed by the Nepal Tourism Board as a landmark achievement, the recognition marks a major shift for the nation, cementing its reputation as a world-class luxury and wellness destination alongside its traditional identity as an adventure travel hub.
