Rain again! alarm given by the weather forecast office

All around the nation, the weather has turned overcast today. The sky has been foggy in the Kathmandu Valley as well. The weather has turned overcast due to the country’s westerly low pressure system and the westerly wind’s partial effect. The Meteorological Forecasting Division Department predicts that certain locations may get moderate afternoon showers. Beginning in western Nepal last evening, the overcast weather moved to most parts of the country today. According to a message sent by the Division this morning, there is light rain occurring in several locations around the provinces of Karnali and Sudurpaschim. There is some light snowfall in the high alpine and hilly areas of the provinces of Karnali and Sudurpaschim.

For the next 24 hours, there is a good chance of light to moderate rain in several areas of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Koshi provinces, as well as light rainfall in a few locations of the remaining provinces. A few locations in the provinces of Sudurpashchim, Karnali, and Koshi, as well as one or two locations in Gandaki and Bagmati, will get mild to moderate snowfall. In the morning, there is also a potential of fog in several areas of the Kathmandu Valley and Terai. Given the shifting weather, the Division has advised the people to take the appropriate safety measures.
