Lamichhane Holds Meeting Amid RSP Internal Tensions

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane on Wednesday held discussions with the party’s ministers and lawmakers amid growing differences between the government and parliamentary wings.

The meeting focused on recent developments, parliamentary conduct and concerns over coordination within the party. Tensions intensified after RSP lawmaker Ashika Tamang clashed with the Speaker during Tuesday’s House meeting while seeking a supplementary question to Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal.

Speaker DP Aryal cautioned Tamang to maintain parliamentary decorum after she expressed dissatisfaction with the minister’s response. She subsequently left the House meeting.
