Raswapa Chairman Rabi Lamichhane Announces Upcoming India Trip
Ravi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswa), is set to visit India. Raswa has stated that Chairman Lamichhane is preparing to go to India towards the end of Baisakh.Lamichhane is going to India at the invitation of Nitin Navin, the president of India’s ruling party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).Both sides are currently working on coordinating the timing of the visit. The main purpose of the visit is to expand relations between the ruling parties of the two countries. Since the BJP is in power in India and Raswa is in power in Nepal, this visit is being considered significant.It has been reported that during Lamichhane’s visit, discussions could also take place regarding Prime Minister Balo Shah’s possible visit to India. He will also hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.In the high-level meetings with BJP leadership, discussions will be held on Rastriya Swatantra Party’s development diplomacy, political ideology, and potential cooperation between the two countries.After Rastriya Swatantra Party won nearly a two-thirds majority in the election held on Falgun 21, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had congratulated Chairman Lamichhane and senior leader Shah via telephone.
