In Chitwan, 25,000 homes are vulnerable to landslides and floods

Over 25,000 households in seven Chitwan district municipalities are at risk of floods and landslides, with a population of 128,665 expected to be affected by the monsoon. He said the floods have had the greatest impact on Rapti Municipality in eastern Chitwan. 50,950 persons from 10,109 households in this municipality have been impacted, according to statistics. According to the preliminary report, the monsoon is predicted to have an impact on the 128,665 people living in the district’s seven municipalities. Preliminary reports suggest that floods could affect 11,905 people in Ratnanagar Municipality, 19,730 people in Madi Municipality, 33,175 people in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, 5,025 individuals in Kalika Municipality, 1,600 in Khairhani Municipality, and 6,280 in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality, according to Chief District Officer Prakash Poudel. The speaker advised residents of flood-prone riverbanks to exercise caution and prepare for potential flooding incidents by stocking up on food, medical supplies, and emergency gear.
