There is no drinking water or infrastructure in Jajarkot School

Due to its rural location, inadequate infrastructure, and water scarcity, Himalaya Primary School in Mangsiri confronts difficulties that impact its instructional and learning activities. Founded in 1982, the school has five professors and 72 students, but it lacks basic amenities like drinking water. Water in jars is carried by teachers despite construction difficulties. Due to structures and sources beneath the building, schoolchildren experience water problems. The situation has gotten worse because no action has been made to address the problem, even after authorities were asked for help and Nalgad Municipality Mayor Dambar Bahadur Rawat was contacted.

Notwithstanding calls for reform and improved drinking water management, locals are unhappy with the government’s lack of response to basic demands including infrastructure, water, and educational quality. Students are evicted when authorities fail to maintain classrooms for instruction and midday meal preparation. Even while organizations and donor agencies suggest drinking water, the problem is still ignored. Despite giving importance to education, health, and agriculture in rural communities, the local government’s inadequate financial allocation results in structural problems in schools.
