On Jayanagar-Janakpur route, an Indian train transports people

Indian train operates on Nepal’s Jayanagar-Janakpur-Bhangaha railway line, temporarily replacing Nepali DEMU trains for maintenance and overhauling at Charbagh Railway Workshop in Uttar Pradesh. Indian government offered the train service at no cost till the Nepali trains returned from maintenance, according to Niranjan Kumar Jha, Managing Director of Nepal Railway Company Ltd., the interim Indian rail service started running. The engine is one of six compartments in an Indian train. According to Jha, it can hold up to 1,500 passengers at once, including standing passengers, despite having a seating capacity of 420. Even though it is run by Indian Railways, Nepal Railway Company Ltd. will pay for all operating expenses, such as personnel and fuel.
The Indian train has been set up to guarantee that service quality is maintained even though it lacks air-conditioned carriages. The train’s timetable will be same to that of the Nepali service. This covers one daily journey between Janakpur and Bhangaha as well as three daily journeys between Jayanagar and Janakpur. Regular service, including AC compartments, will resume after the Nepalis DEMU trains return from maintenance. It is anticipated that the trains will return in fifty days.
