The area of chaite paddy farming in Dhanusha is growing

In Dhanusha, the area used for chaite paddy agriculture is growing yearly. The district’s chaite paddy cultivation area is growing as more farmers become interested in the crop because of its higher yield and other benefits. According to local farmers, they have been expanding the chaite paddy growing area since it produces more than seasonal paddy, is somewhat less vulnerable to pests and illnesses, and has adequate irrigation facilities. Farmers in this area are presently planting chaite paddy, according to Munaji Yadav.

This year, twice as much chaite paddy was planted on schedule in Mithila Municipality-11, Tulasi, the district’s northern region, which is thought to be fertile for chaite paddy production. According to local farmer Prem Bahadur Karki, farmers in this area have used canals from the Ratu River to sow paddy on schedule. It is impossible to pinpoint the precise number of hectares in the district that have been converted to chaite paddy plantations because the plantation season is still ongoing and chaite paddy is being planted in some locations. However, he stated that it is anticipated that over 5,000 hectares of land will be planted with chaite paddy.
