Women from Humla receive weaving instruction in Dhaka

Unemployed women in the Humla district have been given access to Dhaka weaving training. For the first time in the district, weaving self-employment training has been made available. After completing a three-month course in dhaka weaving, Simkot Rural Municipality-5 resident Ramani Bohara claimed to have learned how to weave mostly dhaka fabric. She stated that she will launch a business shortly after completing this course, which has made it easier for her to work for herself. Through the operation of a business employing the acquired abilities, she encouraged stakeholders to assist the creation and selling of Dhaka clothes. She appealed to the relevant authorities to help her use her newly learned abilities to run a business, produce and market dhaka cloth.
According to the chief of the Consumer Rights Protection Office, they have trained unemployed women in the district in dhaka weaving for three months in order to help them become self-employed. A program focused on skill development and self-employment was used to deliver the training. Women were taught how to weave shawls, hats, and other Dhaka-made handicrafts during the course. The cost of buying the supplies and other items needed for the training came to about Rs. 172,000. During the training’s concluding ceremony, Simkot Rural Municipality Chairman Bijay Bhandari encouraged the participants to use the skills they had gained to run enterprises and work for themselves. According to him, the rural municipality is prepared to offer the businessmen additional assistance.
