Bananas grown on bare ground

In Gulmi, banana farming has begun, effectively utilizing the area that has been uncultivated for many years. According to operator Jhabi Pandey, Bhagwati Agricultural Firm has begun growing bananas on 20 ropanis of leased property in Thukka Tole of Seugha in Resunga Municipality-4 that had been uncultivated for years. According to him, about 300 banana plants have been planted in the initial phase, with plans to progressively increase the number. He promised to support other farmers in the village who work in agriculture and increase the production of native banana trees. Pandey has been using his leisure time to work in agriculture in his village while operating a food grain wholesale business in Tamghas.
Liladhar Acharya, the ward chairman of Ward No. 4 and Khil Dhoj Panthi, the mayor of Resunga Municipality, inspected the banana growing taking place on the arid terrain. According to Mayor Panthi, the town has been helping farmers involved in commercial agriculture in every way imaginable. According to him, the village’s commercial farmers and animal husbandry operators have been receiving financial aid, equipment, and technical support from the municipality. In order to keep young people in their native country and foster self-employment, he emphasized the importance of involving them in commercial agriculture and animal husbandry. Local banana varieties are in high demand at the market. In addition to being tasty, bananas are reasonably priced.
