Haatiban fire control efforts are in progress

The Haatiban fire, which started on Wednesday night in Kathmandu’s Dakshinkali municipality-4, is still out of control. To put out the out-of-control forest fire, the locals, the city police of Dakshinkali municipality, and the police team of the Area Police Office, Pharping, have been called in.

Since yesterday, the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Nepal Armed Police Force (APF), locals, fire engines, and water tankers have all attempted, but failed, to contain the fire. To improve crops in the fields, locals use fire to create fertilizer. The locals may have started the fire here as well, according to the police.
