Nepal’s people going to have the first flyover

In three months, the first flyover in Nepal will be completed and open for traffic in Gwarko, Lalitpur. By the Nepali New Year, if all goes according to plan, the flyover will be operational. Since February 2022, the Aashish-Samanantar-Religare JV has been constructing the flyover at the Gwarko crossroads in Lalitpur. The four-lane flyover will be completed in three months, according to Prabhat Kumar Jha. He said that 82% of the flyover’s construction has been finished overall. According to Engineer Jha, the contractor has already received 77.3 million from the Nepali government.
Karki claims that the 120-meter by 180-meter ramp on the Satdobato side and the 295-meter by 320-meter ramp on the Koteshwor side are finished. The building cost climbed by more than 200 percent from the initial agreed upon price of Rs. 170 million. Kharel attributes the project’s sluggish pace on the delay in design approval and the regular turnover of public workers assigned to project management. He recommended that the government establish a rule prohibiting the transfer of workers assigned to manage a development project until it is finished. Karki claims that in just three months, he collaborated with five new government servants.
