Videos which didn’t follow guideline have been removed by TikTok

In just two months, TikTok has taken down 6,078 movies that were uploaded in violation of Nepal’s “community guidelines.” According to a spokesman for TikTok, of the films uploaded between April and June, 99.1% were taken down right away, and 93.2 percent were taken down within a day. TikTok, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Kathmandu, held the ‘Digital Safety Summit Nepal’, where the data was showcased. A TikTok representative, gave a presentation on the company’s regulatory rules.
According to Jalil, the age group has also been divided into distinct categories in order to establish a respectable and organized TikTok platform. The fundamental rules were not appropriately followed since people were unaware of how to utilize social media. According to Fordous Mottakin, Head of Public Policy and Government Relations for South Asia at TikTok, the company is dedicated to working with the Nepali government to advance online safety and digital literacy. According to him, the guidelines were established specifically for the protection of children and young people online. He stated that there is a particular worry for the safety of TikTok users, noting that certain preventative measures have been implemented to create a secure online environment in Nepal.
