Vehicles using a different route following the collapse of the bridge
A bridge crumbled across the Binayi rivulet on the East-West Highway, leaving vehicles trapped at Dumkibas, Nawalpur, and forcing them to take alternate routes. Until a diversion path is built, the stranded vehicles are instructed to take the alternate route until the bridge is repaired. According to him, plans have been prepared for the cars to utilize Binayi Trivenu-2, the inner route at Jyamire, which goes through Triveni Crusher and connects to the highway at Gumbachowk. This alternate path involves a diversion of around five kilometers.
For large and heavy trucks, a second alternate route from Jyamire Petrol Pump has been set up, which goes via CG Chowk-Dandajor-Hongshi Gate and connects to the highway. The detour is around eighteen kilometers long. The breaking has caused total damage to the 246-meter-long bridge. A truck with a 60-ton capacity was crossing the bridge when it collapsed. The vehicle had departed Krishnanagar Customs with Shivam Cement’s cargo. Stuck in the midst of the shattered bridge is the trick.
