Tokha makes progress in building infrastructure

Tokha Municipality has successfully developed its physical infrastructure, including road expansion, upgrading, sewage management, and water supply management, with over 150 kilometers of roads blacktopped and sloped since 2017. Mayor Prakash Adhikari announced that 85% of major roads in the municipality have been blacktopped, with nearly all roads expected to be blacktopped within the remaining two years. He claims that the majority of the sandy and muddy roads from the 2017 election have been resurfaced.

Over this time, 290 drinking water projects have been finished in the municipal area, three bridges and fourteen culverts have been built, and a campaign to safeguard public land has advanced. According to Sher Bahadur BC, the chief administrative officer of Tokha Municipality, the municipality has completed numerous physical infrastructure projects in a short amount of time. According to him, local citizens have been more affected than the authorities themselves by the municipality’s efforts in the field of physical infrastructure.
