Thimi’s Sindoor festival has been started already
Madhyapur Thimi has observed the Sindoor festival. Beginning on New Year’s Eve and lasting for four days, the Sindoor festival is Thimi’s main draw. It is celebrated in the districts of Bhaktapur by Thimi, Bode, and Nagadesh. They use a variety of palanquins in their musical bands and processions. The procession used red vermillion, a blood-red powder, and other colors. Participants in the Sindoor Jatra procession throw them at each other.
