The export tax of tea has been increased by 69%

According to the Mechi Customs Office, tea exports increased by 69.22% in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. 8062.16 metric tons of tea were exported throughout the first four months. According to Ganapati Kandel, the office’s information officer, the value of the produce rose by 67.87 percent as outbound commerce grew. The value of the export was Rs 2.20 billion. It was just Rs 1.31 billion during the same time previous year. Nonetheless, the Office reported a drop in the export of broccoli, cauliflower, amriso, chhurpi, ginger, black cardamom, and cabbage.
Compared to the same period last year, exports of black cardamom fell by 11.87%, amriso by 11.66%, chhurpi by 41.45%, and cauliflower, cabbage, and broccoli by 27.98%. On the other hand, plywood exports increased by 29.63 percent. In the first four months of the current fiscal year, the Office’s income was Rs 4.72. It represents the attainment of 27.22 percent of the whole yearly income goal.
