The BOP for APF Nepal will be established in Phu village in Manang

In Manang district, a border outpost is to be established along the Nepal-China boundary. According to the District Administration Office, Manang, the BOP would be set up at Phu village, Narpabhumi Rural Municipality-4, to oversee the border transit point. Approximately 4,000 meters above sea level is the elevation at which the BOP is being installed. According to Chief District Officer Matrika Acharya, the BOP was established for border security and convenience. According to him, APF Nepal has been given 20 ropanis of land on long-term lease in order to establish the BOP.
A police inspector will be among the 35 armed police officers stationed at the BOP. In collaboration with the Narpabhumi Rural Municipality, CDO Acharya stated that the BOP would be set up in Phu as soon as feasible. He stated his conviction that the BOP’s establishment will improve disaster relief efforts, peace and security, and the ability to rescue travelers who have been ill from high altitude sickness. The Tibet Autonomous Region of China shares a boundary with Narpabhumi Rural Municipality. Phu settlement is two days’ walk from Chame, the district headquarters.
