Thapathali’s drinking water pipe was fixed
The Melamchi Drinking Water Project’s drinking water delivery pipe that exploded in Thapathali on Tuesday morning has been fixed. At 4:00 am this morning, a technical team from Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited finished repairing the damaged pipeline, according to KUKL engineer Prakash Baral. After hundreds of thousands of liters of water leaked from the main pipeline that supplies water to downtown Kathmandu, the route remained closed to traffic and neighboring homes and businesses were flooded.
