Tahr and Red Panda Festival going to start from this Monday

This place is hosting a two-day ‘Red Panda and Tahr Festival-2082’ in conjunction with the ‘Mundum Trail Visit Year-2025’. “The celebration, organized by the Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality, aims to preserve and promote the Himalayan Tahr and the endangered Red Panda,” said Mayor Tirtha Raj Bhattarai. Native to the country, the Tahr and the Red Panda are both endangered wild animal species. The Mid-Hill Highway’s Diktel-Halesi road segment is where the festival is being held in Hurlung. In keeping with the traditions and cultures of the several ethnic communities in the area, there will also be a culinary festival and a showcase of regional costumes, lifestyles, and goods.

Images and videos pertaining to Red Panda and Tahr will be shown and screened during the festival. Dayahang Rai, an actor and the goodwill ambassador for the “Mundum Trail Visit Year-2025,” will formally launch the “Mundum Trail Red Panda-Tahr Route,” which starts at Hurlung on the Mid-Hill Highway’s Diktel-Halesi road segment. The goal of the Mundum Trail Visit Year-2025 is to draw about 100,000 visitors from both local and international locations.
