Sugarcane machine making farmers life easy

In the past, primitive wooden devices called “Kathekol” that were anchored in the ground were used to crush sugarcane. To smash the sugarcane, bulls would circle three pivots. According to Kedarnath Adhikari of Dodobeshi, they could only make one tin of syrup using those outdated techniques, even after a full day of labor. He added that it has gotten lot simpler with the advent of contemporary electric sugarcane crushers. Two machines are in use at the moment. These devices are frequently used by the people to squeeze sugarcane. Agricultural Group Dodobeshi brought in two equipment. Adhikari made Rs. 90,000 last year. He anticipates making Rs. 150,000 from the sale of sugarcane syrup this year.
Adhikari claims that, like rice agriculture, sugarcane requires tilling and plowing the soil. Along with enough water as needed, cow dung is utilized as manure and the upper portion of the sugarcane is planted in the ploughed fields. A sufficient amount of water is necessary for a successful harvest. Ishwar Adhikari, a local farmer, talked about his experience and said the equipment saves a lot of time while crushing sugarcane. In comparison to prior eras, he also saw a rise in the number of farmers engaged in the sugarcane industry.
