Request not to spread unnecessary rumors about the stock market
Representatives of the Nepal Stockbrokers Association met with Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle to discuss the false rumors spreading in the stock market. The finance minister informed that, prioritizing good governance, Nepal will be brought out of the gray list in the near future. He said, ‘Those who commit crimes will not be pardoned,’ and stated that the government will adopt a private sector-friendly policy, claiming that the upcoming budget will be historic and transformative. In the meeting held on Wednesday, the stockbrokers expressed concern that small investors are panicking and false rumors are spreading in the market. They requested the government to facilitate the market for institutional investors and to implement suggestions for improving the capital market. The finance minister urged everyone not to be swayed by rumors in the current situation.
