Report on Pokhara International Airport is submitted by subcommittee

The Public Accounts Committee has received the report from the subcommittee it established to investigate purported anomalies in the Pokhara International Airport’s development. At a handover ceremony this afternoon at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor, subcommittee coordinator Rajendra Prasad Lingden handed over the report to Public Accounts Committee coordinator Hrishikesh Pokharel, according to committee secretary and Parliament Secretariat spokesperson Eakram Giri. Committee chair Pokharel accepted the report and stated that the complete report would be considered at the next meeting.
The PAC formed the panel about a year ago to investigate alleged anomalies at the country’s third international airport, under the leadership of RPP chairman and MP Lingden. The group has submitted its 38-page report, conclusions, and recommendations for further action, according to Lingden, the subcommittee coordinator. The subcommittee included MPs Janardan Sharma, Gokul Prasad Baskota, Aman Lal Modi, Dev Prasad Timilsena, Deepak Giri, Rukmani Rana, Ram Krishna Yadav, Tara Lama, Arjun Narsingh KC, and Prem Bahadur Ale.
