President Paudel worships at the Bouddha monastery in Lhakhang

On Thursday morning’s 2569th Buddha Jayanti, President Ramchandra Paudel and his wife, Sabita Paudel, held worship at the Lhakhang monastery of Bouddha in Kathmandu. They visited the Bouddha monastery, worshipped the Lord Buddha, and saw the priceless relics known as astudhatu. Since the early hours of the morning, the monastery has been crowded with Buddhist enthusiasts.

For a rare sighting of the astudhatu, the Bouddhanatha and Melamchi Ghyang Guthi prepare a function. Many Buddhist sanctuaries, including Lumbini, Bouddha, Swayambhu, Namo Buddha, and other monasteries throughout the nation, reverently commemorate Buddha Jayanti today.
